September 2011 FMCi’s mission is to bring people together to serve God’s people in the community. Recently, we became aware that there was a need for assistance with a youth program in Citrus Heights. They needed funds to purchase shirts for the wrestling program.
We just completed the funds drive for the shirts for the Maverick’s volunteer wrestling program. This program was designed by Brady Yount, the Mavericks High School wrestling coach, for Citrus Heights youth that cannot normally afford such a program. As a result of the combined efforts of FMCi and fellow sponsors, Rotary of Citrus Heights, First Allied Securities, Inc., Image Outfitters Photography, BeOne Sportswear & Promotions, Make It Count-ACN, DS Improvements, and the Fellowship Networking group, we have created 75 free shirts for the kids and parents of the program. We thank our sponsors for supporting such a cause.
Participating in team sports gives children a positive outlet for their energy and teaches them valuable life skills. Helping keep such sports programs alive and available to kids of all economic levels is vital to our communities. We are happy to have participated in being of service to the people of our community. Ephesians 4:12 “for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.”
