Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching".

— Hebrews 10:23-25

Serving God, Our Community, and Each Other

Serving God _

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.   But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

John 3:14

Remembrance of God and his son Jesus Christ have been consistently and incrementally removed from government and the marketplace.    Through inclusion and respect for others, we want to encourage our membership to give credit for their success to the Lord our God, and to include him by asking for his guidance and turning our lives and business over to his leadership.   In doing so, God will not be forced on others, but neither should we hide our love for Jesus, and openly thank him for our success.

Serving our Community –

Honest scales and balances are from the Lord; all the weight in the bag are of his making. Proverbs 16:11

Bringing Glory to our Lord through the following works:

  • To create a fellowship of community leaders and business owners for the purpose of bringing light to our community through service. The Fellowship of Marketplace Christians is a service organization that will not only provide positive Christian witness, but will be dedicated to serving the less fortunate in our community.

  • Where there is a servant’s heart, no money is required. This points out that the expertise we pool together is often more useful and powerful than just throwing money at a project.  We require that our members use their gifts to assist the community preferably by teaching them to fish rather than just providing them with fish.

  • To serve those who work with us by treating them with respect according to biblical guidance, and following the teachings of Jesus Christ in relating to our employees and customers.

  • Give your clients an honest measure, and provide superior work for what you are paid.   This is an area of witness with very powerful potential, and also an equal or greater opportunity to harm a person’s view of Christ and Christians.

  • Give truthful and timely feedback to your employees, so that they may improve their performance.  Do not fear to reward your best, as taught by the parable of Jesus about the service of the Master’s people in his absence.

Serving Each Other –

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
